Reviews
Notes from traders who sat through momentum oscillator interpretation sessions at Cyberguardai — including the hesitations that still linger.
— Priya N., Fremantle, Momentum Oscillator MasterclassI came in treating the stochastic like a traffic light. After session two of the masterclass I started waiting for price to reclaim a prior swing before acting on those crosses. Still awkward in fast futures opens, but the mid-day ASX work is calmer.
— Tom H., Subiaco, Divergence Reading DeskThe Divergence Reading Desk was useful, though I wish we had a fifth chart ready — we ran out of time on a bank stock I care about. Even so, the way we marked hidden divergence on the iron ore name stuck with me the following week.
— Elena V., remote from AdelaideChart Review Hour caught a habit I had of buying every RSI touch of 30 in a downtrend. Embarrassing to see it spelled out, and exactly what I needed.
— Sam R., Joondalup, Private Oscillator CoachingPrivate coaching keeps me honest about rules I wrote after the masterclass. Some fortnights we change nothing; that restraint is part of the point.
Extended note: Marcus and the choppy RSI
Marcus L., a Perth swing trader, booked the Momentum Oscillator Masterclass after months of whipsaw entries on mid-cap industrials. In session three he brought a chart where RSI had dipped twice without a durable bounce. Together the group wrote a rule: no long from RSI alone unless the prior day’s low held and MACD histogram had already turned up for two bars. Marcus later wrote that the rule felt “slow,” yet it filtered three poor entries in a single week of sideways trade. He still prefers discretion on earnings weeks — a reservation he raised in class and kept in his checklist as an explicit exception.
